I'm having one of those 'meh' evenings, indeed, I can't even manage to bang out another 'Randomnimity,' which is annoying the helloutta me right now, cause my brain is chock-full of clever and witty things, both pithy and verbose, and yet all that'll seem to come out is 'meh:'

'River On Fire'
Adam Again

River on Fire Lyrics
by Gene Eugene

What would you say if you knew what I was thinking?
Maybe you do, but you know not to dig too deep
What if i knew what you needed for sure?
I've seen in your eyes you need more, much more

And I could be happy, and you could be miserable
I'll grab a metaphor out of the air
The Cuyahoga River on fire

What can you say? The impossible happens
What can you settle for?
What can you live without?
I remember the night I first darkened your door
And I swore that I loved you
My heart was pure

You could be happy, and I could be miserable

My open window, a dream in the dark
My fingers, your face
A spark, a trace

I know a lot about the history of Cleveland, Ohio
Disasters that have happened there
Like the Cuyahoga River on fire

Today's Randomnimity

From Blogizdat LJ:

  • I don't feel well at all today, have got some kind of sinus-headachey and coughy thing, with an angst chaser - meh

  • Kind of scary seeing how much food some people can shovel down at The Old Country Buffet, though I suppose it stands to reason that people would do so at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

  • You know how Lucy entices Charlie Brown to run for the football each year but he never quite gets to kick it, and how stupid he feels when he lands flat on his back, every.single.time? And see, I don't blame Lucy for her part, that's what she does, but shouldn't Charlie know better than to go for it? Doesn't he know a lost cause when he sees it? And still he runs for it, every.single.time - foolish Charlie.

I was with yards of the scene of this armed robbery with my two little girls not but two hours before the incident referred to below:

From the Pioneer Press

Robber hits St. Paul bank, fires at off-duty cop, briefly takes hostage; no one injured

By Mara H. Gottfried

Updated: 08/04/2010 07:12:15 PM CDT

A man robbed a bank in St. Paul this afternoon, took a teller hostage and fired shots at an off-duty police officer working as a security guard, then fled in a car.

No one was injured during the incident.

The masked robber entered the Park Midway Bank at 2300 Como Ave. about 2:30 p.m. with a handgun, police said

He demanded money from a female teller, and after being provided with some cash, the robber told the teller to leave the bank with him, according to the FBI.
